STRONG WOMEN OF GOD...

My Mother - Minnie Ramon, Saginaw, MI

Born in 1925 in a small town in Texas, the youngest of six, Minnie grew up during the "Depression" era when meals often consisted of mere rations.  She served as "housekeeper" to a wealthy family and took her meals outside because minorities were not allowed to eat with family.

Minnie came with her family to Michigan as migrant workers and eventually met and married her husband, Ernie.  The two have been married for 60 years and have survived raising six children, depression, alcohol abuse, attempted suicides and the death of both parents and many siblings.

Minnie is a strong and godly women who spends countless hours in prayer for her family, neighbors and church.  She is not one to coddle or dish out sympathy, but rather she will motivate and challenge you to get moving!  She is the first to believe in your ability and success.  I love you, mom!

My Sisters (left to right) - Linda Parisian of Saginaw, MI; Delia Ramon of Burt, MI; (That's me in the middle); Lydia Blosser of Bristol, IN and Deb LeBold of Goshen, IN - We ARE f-a-m-i-l-y...

Linda, my oldest sister, shouldered the responsibility of caring and discipling all us children, while mom and dad worked to provide meals, clothing and shelter.  Linda lost her husband to drug abuse and spent most of their married life raising a daughter alone.  She has since remarried a godly man from her church where the two are actively involved.  She is a spiritual rock and mentor.
Delia, my youngest sister, works with toddlers in a Christian Day Care as Lead Teacher.  She is very Bible knowledgeable and is quick to demand better of me, when I'm tempted to feel sorry for myself.  She has been instrumental in pointing out that "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"...Romans 8:1
Lydia survived several abusive marriages, drug and alcohol abuse and currently succeeds in sharing the gospel message both at work and with neighbors.  Lydia has a heart to bless others and demontrates God's love in practical and everyday relevance.
Deb survived depression, attempted suicides, a failed marriage and most recently a brain tumor.  She is currently married to a wonderful man and the two enjoy music and being active in their local church.  Deb has a heart for children and seeks to display Bible stories in a fun and interesting way in Sunday School.  Deb wants to emphasis the fact that she is a brain tumor survivor!

Pastor Susan Bennett Stiles (At right, in the pretty yellow hat!)
Kochville United Methodist Church, Saginaw, MI

Pastor Susan is a remarkable woman of God!  I recently had the priveledge of attending the Easter Son-rise service at Kochville United Methodist.  Pastor Susan worshipped through interpretive dance giving a visual to the glory of resurrection morning.  It was so dynamic and moving, and God's annointing on this woman is evident.

I am blessed to call her a friend.

Some of the gals at Saginaw Valley State University, Saginaw, MI

Julie and Darryn are just two of the amazing christian gals that I have had the pleasure to work with this past school year on campus at Saginaw Valley State University.

If you've ever wondered what it's like for a christian on a public university, these gals will amaze you with their dedication to their faith.  They both strive to know God's will and direction for their lives.

Julie will be serving with a medical team to the Dominican Repulic, while Darryn leaves for Asia this summer as part of a leadership internship.
